Our Project: Neighbor Boy’s Kickstarter is for funding a 30-min sketch comedy show about Kickstarter. So this is a Kickstarter for a Kickstarter show.
The show will take place Monday, February 13 at 9:30pm at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York along with the troupe Fambly. (You can make reservations here.)
We love performing original sketch comedy, but we need your...
Nothing
I was standing in my shower this morning with such a stern, solemn air I doubted I would ever smile again. Beware, humans! Beware my withering aura of stodginess! Bathe in the vague pools of disapproval that emanate from my tired brain!
I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY RIGHT NOW

BBC Sherlock - Scandal in Belgravia
Too good. Too, too good. Should not be watched. May cause damage to your brain and heart from it being too good. Beware. Fear its goodness. This show is too good.

His description of how he measured which games were best is what I love about this article.
“Anything can be measured if you don’t have to start out with exactly the right answer. You can get an objective answer to any question if you can accept the fact that somebody else may have a different objective answer that’s just as good as yours. Those of you who wish to point out that...
I talked to DC Pierson for almost 11 minutes →

I figured, since he flew all the way from Los Angeles, I would talk to him for twenty seconds longer than I usually do on the Mandolin NYC podcast.
We talk about nicknames, including “Brick Dick.”
DC PIERSON WILL BE ON EVERY PODCAST. STAND NOT IN HIS WAY!

Things Are Happening →

Hey everyone, a good replacement for Wikipedia today is this new topical comedy podcast, Things Are Happening. Each week I assemble some of my favorite writers to make fun of things that are happening in the news.
The first episode features Eddie Brawley, Ramsey Ess, and Kevin Hines, and it’s not even a day old — if you had a bagel for breakfast this morning, the content is fresher...

From kottke.org: “This is mesmerizing: using Google Image Search and starting with a transparent image, this video cycles through each subsequent related image, over 2900 in all.”

I Had A Band (and we have merch!) →
iamkayhanley:
Man, this is so typical of me. I had a vague knowledge that my old band, Letters To Cleo, still had a website. It wasn’t until a character from Parks & Rec (Ben) decided to sport a Cleo tee shirt that never actually existed, which caused Cleo mgr. Michael Creamer to have a bunch of those shirts made to sell on the Cleo website, that I SAW the Cleo website.
Y’all. The Cleo...

The saddest comic you’ll ever read about quoting The Simpsons. Probably?
This is an amazing comic.

Kurt Andersen’s sharp piece for Vanity Fair proposes that culture seems frozen for the last 20 years in a way that has not been true in American history. Even if you don’t agree, you will like the sentences:
“I feel as if the whole culture is stoned, listening to an LP that’s been skipping for decades, playing the same groove over and over. Nobody has the wit or gumption to...
